I started this blog because my elder sister, best friend, and I started a bet for 2012. We call it the New Years Resolution Game. The Game basically goes like this we have to decided on 75 New Years Resolution to complete by 2013. If we don't then we have to run around a local park in a sports bra and spandex shorts--- something that none of us are comfortable with. We also decided that we had to come up with 25 more Resolutions making a total of 100. If complete the 100 by the end of the year then we get something great from the other two but we really haven't decided what exactly yet. If anyone has any ideas feel free to share them.
Okay, so with all that said I guess I should go into why we decided to do this. This game was of my own creation because last year I felt like I hadn't accomplished anything important. And with the rumors of the world ending at the end of this year, not that I believe them of course, but more out of a sense of sarcastic sense of humor I came up with this. So in light of that I am going to list all of my resolutions and which ones I have completed.
1. Get Foodstamps --> In the process
For those of you who do not know what this is this is government aid for people who need help buying food. Pretty self exploratory, Not that I take pride in this goal but the truth of the matter is I work my ass off and yet after all my bills and diapers and blah blah we just don't have a lot of food. And because of my pride I have yet to do this. Honestly I really need to do this in a major way. This goal is more of a conquering my pride than anything else because I feel embarrassed about it.
2. Go to college --> In the process (waiting on finicial aid)
Now this is something I really want to do. The only way I will be able to improve my life and the life of my little daughter is to get a good education.
3. Go to the Gym 3 times a week after January
I figure since I smoke I might as well keep the rest of my body healthy. I have not started this one yet but I hope to soonish.
4. Learn a new instrument
I have always wanted to learn to play the piano. I'll let ya'll know how that goes because I'm the most impatient person you will ever meet.
5. Buy a car --> saving up for this one now
6. Plant a tree
I'm thinking the type of tree I want to plant will be a fruit tree or something pretty like a willow tree. I think to many trees have fallen to the hands of man and I just want to do something nice for the environment. Sometimes I swear I sound like a hippy but the truth is we do have to take care of the environment or be fucked in the end.
7. Take some kind of self defense class
8. Shoot off a gun at least once
9. Quit Smoking
10. Finish Paper & Smoke
This is a novel I have been writing since last year.
11. Enter into at least 5 short story contest
12. Enter into at least 5 poetry contests
13. Send a letter to Writer's House about my novel
This is a literary agency that represent novels to publishing houses.
14. Cook an entire cookbook.
I can't cook so I think it is time to learn.
15. Read at least five novels --> In the process

19. Maintain a 3.5 or higher GPA in college

21. Have an entire outline written for historical novel trilogy for at least the first book
22. Make a homemade candle
23. Learn woodcarving
24. Ride a horse
25. Plant a garden
26. Be more GREEN
27. Get a cell phone and maintain said cell phone for the entire year --> In the process
28. Finish Ciara's tattoo design
29. Finish the drawing for Alexis
30. Design Andrea's Victorian style doll house
31. Do sketches for Uncle Dale's moose picture
32. Do not loose any important paperwork
33. Learn Spanish --> In the process
My boyfriend is Mexican so he is teaching our daughter Spanish as well as English. I think it's in my best interest to learn Spanish too.

35. Get Andrea off the bottle --> In the process
36. Read to Andrea at least once a week --> In the process
37. Make sure all invitations go out on time.
38. Put back at least 20 each pay period --> In the process
39. Take a yoga class
40. Get a family portrait made
41. Write a letter to Gary
42. Take a jewelry making class
43. Write out summaries for 5 short stories at least 1000 words long
44. Whiten my teeth
45. Buy a new seed bead loom
46. Try not to fight with Amanda as much--> in the process
47. Have more patience.
48. Write 12 short stories by the end of the year
49. Write 12 poems by the end of the year
50. Enter into a contest each month
51. Enter against Ciara in at least one contest
52. Let go of all aggression toward Candie
53. Let Mama go
54. Do more research on our family in the Cherokee Nation
55. Reread Mama's novel and take notes
56. Try not to lose my mind

Okay now the rest of the resolutions I have already completed and sometime at a later dater I will make a post for each one describing them.
